BMW Fans: Check Out 48 LEDs License Plate Lights by Tekarbon

While Tekarbon has been specializing in custom angel eyes headlights on BMW, they now create more DIY opportunities for BMW fans.By offering the LEDs license plate lights, customers can do the installation and testing on their own. 




The license plate light comes in a set of two - one for the left and one for the right -in which the lighting will cover the entire license plate instead of the center only. At 8000k lighting, the total 48 LEDs will give you brightness you never have before.

Can a Honda CBR 1000RR beat BMW S1000RR?

We came across to this interesting article comparing a Honda CBR1000RR to a BMW S1000RR. With a similar model name, which one has a better performance?

Some may say BMW S1000RR is unbeatable; yet there is claim saying the 2008 Honda CBR 1000RR can be, close to, perfect with custom mod.

Honda CBR 1000RR was first introduced to the market in 2007. With its light curb weight, excellent chassis and motor with monster midrange, many bikers could not wait to get one and their inventory was cleared in no time.

While BMW S1000RR is proud of its top-end acceleration, being more powerful than even Kawasaki Ninja ZX14, their finished package of an ideal streetbike -  package with traction control, quickshifter and ABS – is over affordable. Thus, Superbike decided to work on a project on modifying a Honda CBR 1000RR to out beat BMW S1000. The bottom line the mod budget is below $10,000.

The mod is based on a pre-owned 2008 Honda CBR 1000RR with less than 9500 miles on the road, sold at $6,500; that being said only $3,500 left for the mod. With the remaining dollars, Sportrider was able to tune the stock CBR 1000RR to weigh less yet make significant power.

The new 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R will impress its fan with its distinguishable traction control with the new S-KTRC system – what most of the bikers are looking for in a bike. While the latest traction control technology is much more advanced that the old days, the traction control in the 2011 ZX-10R model is way more cutting edge.

How? The advanced TC analyzes numerous factors including throttle position (plus the rate of opening), wheel speeds, engine rpm (plus rate of change), gear position, and speed to actually sense and begin formulating a plan of various mapping scenarios before tire slip occurs, comparing to the TC out there does when tire starts slipping.  The S-KTRC system will continue the analysis every five milliseconds once and adapt its mapping strategy once tire slips. Maintaining or even increasing acceleration, the TC system on Kawasaki ZX-10R is indeed developed for racing that predicts traction loss and proactively adapts its maps based on conditions.


“Forget everything you remember about the old ZX-10Rs of the past; the 2010 ZX-10R Ninja is all-new from the ground up,” said Karl Edmondson, Kawasaki Motor Corp U.S.A. product manager.
From the engine to chassis, the 2011 ZX-10R is completely different from the old models. The new engine will feature more aggressive cams actuating 1mm-larger intake valves, with the cylinder head sporting new intake and exhaust porting, and lighter pistons pushing a higher 13.0:1 compression ratio. The crankshaft is repositioned slightly higher for better mass centralization and drives a new secondary counterbalancer. The air ram intake duct tunnels are also repositioned into a larger air filter setup.

Available information also reveals the new 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R is curb-weighted 437pounds which is close to the Honda CBR1000RR , current flyweight of the class.
