Ducati Launches Its Official Ducati Community

With the expansion of social media, Ducati, despite all the forums and communities out there at this time, announced their new “Ducati Community.” It is an advanced social media site where the Ducati enthusiasts can get together and share their Ducati experience with “post”, photos, videos etc, just like any other social media sites do.

The Ducati Community aims to connect with not only the Ducati enthusiasts from the North America as where the site is based, but Ducati fans from all over the world. The uniqueness of Ducati Community is from a wide network connection. While the existing online forums and communities neglect the relationship between Ducati, its fans (Ducatisti,) its dealers, and the Desmo Owners clubs (DOC,) the Ducati Community strive to connect the previously separated groups together with no geographical boundaries as before.

As all social media sites do, the Ducati Community allows the Ducati fans to share their riding experience and enthusiasm through photos, videos and texts sharing. The site can also be synchronized with users’ Twitter and Facebook account as well as other social media sites; the site layout is based on blog structure which aims for user friendliness. In a few weeks, iPhone and Android applications will be available for real time updates the road, the dealership, a MotoGP race or any other location.
"We are beyond excited about the launch of the Ducati Community site. This new platform will keep us at the forefront of technology and current web media practices. Ducati owners can now share everything from a cell phone image of Nicky Hayden in the paddock to a lap of Willow Springs from their last track day. All of this can be done right from a cell phone and reach users around the globe instantly," said John Paolo Canton; PR Manager for Ducati North America. "It is not just a website, it is a way to connect people and give them the full Ducati brand experience."

This official Ducati Community will also be a channel for Ducati to relay news, model unveilings, major events, and unique promotions for all of North America. The site, with another purpose, is to ensure Ducati loyal followers be on top of the latest news as soon as it is available.

2011 BMW ActiveHybrid 750 Preview

In 2009, BMW 7 Series broke the stereotype of BMW and was introduced to the market in its upscale distinction. The hybrid version was born around 2010 and named “ActiveHybrid 750," being known as a full size luxury performance vehicle with green aura around it.

Unlike the X6 Hybrid, ActiveHybrid 7, as a mild hybrid with a different electric drive setup, collaborated with Mercedez Benz during development.  While ActiveHybrid 7, or Hybrid in general, is not known for speeding and tuning, ActiveHybrid 7 is impressively economic with 15% or even more saving on fuel. Not to mention about being more powerful than 750i and 760Li, the 2010 models.

The 2011 version will be labeled as BMW ActiveHybrid 750Li. It is upgraded with V8 twin-turbo engine producing total 400 horsepower. With the 8-soeed automatic transmission and top speed electronically limited to 150mlh, the ActiveHybrid 750Li went from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5seconds.

Car and Drive had a road test on ActiveHybrid 750Li, their review says the 750L, from 0 to 60mph, is “ 0.7 second quicker to 60 and 0.9 quicker through the quarter than the last non-hybrid 750Li to wear our test gear. More (un)importantly, it’s 0.9 second quicker to 60 than the last LS600hL we tested. A brief blast around the high-speed oval confirms that the hybrid 7 rockets to its 147-mph governor without any of the lethargy commonly associated with hybrids. Later on, driving more like downtrodden suburban Americans, we saw 21 mpg.”

If you happen to get your ActiveHybrid 750Li and would like to have some carbon fiber on your vehicle, Tekarbon can help you on your custom project! From exterior such as spoiler and mirror cover to interior like door handle and rear mirror cover, Tekarbon is capable customizing your parts! Contact as at sales@tekarbon.com

Preview of 2012 BMW M6 before it arrives!

After the preview of Volkswagen Golf R , we got another spy on the upcoming 2012 BWM M6 – thanks to our friends BMWBlog. According to TeamSpeed, the new M6, available in 2012, will be available in both Coupe and Convertible variants. BMW M6 2012 (Final release may look different) To distinguish itself from other high-end auto, such as Porsche, Audi, Benlty, Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz, the new M6, needless to say will come with its own unique attributes and characteristics. The 2012 M6 will come with the typical wider rear fenders just as what the current model is offering. The usual four-tailpipe exhaust and the M-style bumper with diffuser will only available for the M models. On top of that, the M6 will also benefit from the big brakes behind the larger wheels and M-signature quad-exhaust pipes out back. As much as the information is disclosed, the new M6 should be upgraded to 4.4 liter V8 engine, producing close to 600 horsepower. You should expect no more than 4 seconds from 0 to 60. Unofficial source says 2012 BMW M6 will launch at the Geneva Motor Show next year. Nothing is confirmed yet. Source: BMWBlog
